A frequent visitor of the mind (1) – despair

You think you can hold yourself together and numb the pain… but you cannot forget that the pain is there and you are still hurting.

And, though someone out there tries to reach you out. You keep shutting yourself from them; afraid of being looked down upon or having been called ‘immature’.

The universe as we know it.

It keeps revolving.

And yes, you are not the center of it.

Not him. Not her. Not us. Not even anything.

It sometimes behave as if it cares for you.

And the moment you think it is, that’s the moment where you let your guard down.

And, in a subtle manner, it saps the energy out of you.

Your idealism. Your values. One by one, taken away, altered, marred.

And that’s when you truly see the world, far beyond what you thought you knew before.

And you say,

‘Hello, World!’
