A couple of hours to go

Summary for the past one week, waiting for the plane

I am eagerly waiting for my flight now; it is a couple of hours before departing from Singapore. I am all warmed up after finishing two puffs and a cup of hot tea from Tip Top. They have delicious beef rendang puff, and they serve local food for breakfast – a must try.

This past one week was full of wonderful meetups. I say that it was my holiday highlight in June. Starting from last Tuesday, where I met Arliando and decided to watch Conjuring 2 that evening. Afterward, he shared some of the challenges he faced while looking for a job, and that inspired me to do something with my joblessness. I won’t give up, and I will try even harder than before, do.

Next, it was with Haritha, Thomas, Theodore, and the Maker Faire team. On Thursday, we continued on furnishing the staff we have been crafting for the upcoming Singapore Maker Faire on the weekend. I really learned a lot about how a committed team works together to come up with something new. I learned that brilliant people take initiative and create a plan, so that they don’t have to wait for something to make things happen; they make it happen. And despite facing a lot of setbacks, we try to push further and still make something happen. It was an awesome experience with them in the project.

Then I had a Saturdate with two beautiful ladies, Theresia and Natalia. 😉 We are making stuff too, we are building PINTU website from the ground up. At the end of the day, we managed to put up the structure of the site. I am in awe of their enthusiasm in making this website, and I couldn’t be more grateful to help them in the task. We can finish this well, girls!

Sunday was a day of another adventure. With GPBB Magnificat Choir, we served the Lord  and the congregation with the song ‘My Prayer’. It reminds us to be in peace in God’s company, to let ourselves, the channel of His Grace, be lessen, and He receives the glory that was His. Later in the afternoon, I joined Hardian, Christy, Jessy, and Victor for the last day of Underwater World Singapore. The place was smaller than I expected, but it was enjoyable. I love to see animals since I was little. We had a lot of fun there particularly seeing Hardian’s acting flirty toward Christy. :3

And the week ended yesterday, when I got to see Christiandy, Andri, and Marco just a few hours before they move out from NTU. I was glad to chat with them and to see they are looking well all this time. (Coco still has his eyebags on his face) 🙂 Lastly, I had a good time having a conversation with Julius over dinner ( there’s a promotion of getting 8 pcs of chicken wings for only $6 on Monday only in Texas Chicken, try it ). Again, I was inspired by someone who has such a great faith in the Lord and who surrenders everything to Him. Thank you for reminding me to keep building my faith and stay in touch with God every day.

Ahh, gotta go soon, it is less than an hour before boarding by the time I finish this post. I will upload photos on this post as soon as I got the chance in Medan. I will just leave you with this

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20

“…and sometimes, that mountain is you”, added Julius.
